Registration fees do not include any travel or hotel/housing costs. One and two day registrations are only eligible to attend education sessions as well as social events and the Solutions Center on the day(s) purchased.

Registration Category Criteria

Member rates are a benefit of ACVIM membership. To qualify, you must be a member at the time of registration.
Any retired veterinarian, at least 65 years old, qualifies for this registration category.
To qualify for the student registration category, you must be a full-time student.

To qualify for the resident, intern or 1st year graduate category, you must be a full time resident or intern or just have graduated within the past 12 months.

*Graduate program enrollment, students, residents, interns and recent graduate verifications must be submitted at time of registration. This verification must be in the form of a student ID, copy of Schedule, or a letter from the institution. Without proper verification ACVIM may adjust registration fees accordingly.


Spouse / Significant Other registrations are valid for individuals accompanying 2018 ACVIM Forum attendees with full registration. This registration fee category does not include attendance at the educational session offerings, aside from the Keynote Session. Continuing education credit is not available for this registration fee category.

Spouse / Significant Other registration includes admission to the exhibit hall, Keynote Session and receptions on Thursday and Friday. Spouse / Significant Other registrations are not intended to be used for attendance by multiple people from the same practice and are limited to a maximum of 1 additional registrant.

Only interested in making connections inside the Solutions Center (Exhibit Hall)? ACVIM offers a one-day pass to access the Solutions Center. All passes can only be purchased on site at the registration desk at the Washington State Convention Center only. Solutions Center passes are not intended to be used for suitcasing and those violating this policy will be asked to leave with no refund. Non-exhibiting companies are not allowed to distribute materials or samples or promote their company in any way to attendees or exhibitors throughout the entire conference area. Exhibiting companies may only distribute any type of marketing material from their designated booth space.

Registration Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the ACVIM at or processed by the cancelling party directly through the registration system.

Cancellations postmarked or received on or before April 26, 2018, are entitled to the following:
     •  For registration fees greater than $100, a refund of all paid registration fees, less a $100 cancellation fee will be charged.
     •  For registration fees $100 or less, a refund of all paid registrations fees, less a $25 cancellation fee will be charged. 

Cancellations received after April 2016, 2018: - NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS will be issued.
    •  NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS will be issued.

CE Credits

Texas-Licensed Veterinarians
The 2018 ACVIM Forum content has been created to meet the requirements of the Texas Veterinary Licensing Act mandated by the 79th Legislature and adopted by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners relating to verifying continuing education credit for Texas-licensed veterinarians.

New York-Licensed Veterinarians and Technicians

The 2018 ACVIM Forum content has been created to meet the requirements for continuing education from the New York State Board of Veterinary Medicine.


This program is pending approval by the AAVSB RACE.


ACVIM intends to take photographs and video of this event for use in ACVIM news and promotional material, in print, electronic and other media, including the website. By participating in this event, you grant ACVIM the right to use any image, photograph, voice or likeness, without limitation, in its promotional materials and publicity efforts without compensation. All media become the property of ACVIM. Media may be displayed, distributed or used by ACVIM for any purpose.

ACVIM Code of Conduct

The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Material or language that ridicules, belittles, or degrades an individual or group is unacceptable. Human sexual language and imagery, whether direct or implied, is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, on-site or off-site social events, Facebook and other online media.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, ACVIM may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event without a refund. Child care services will not be furnished by the ACVIM for the 2018 ACVIM Forum.
