It is a pioneering spirit that beats in the hearts of those who believe that everyday, one can make a difference - and the reward is knowing that everyday, one does. For more than 25 years that pioneering spirit has lived at the ACVIM and has been celebrated at the ACVIM Forum, the premiere event to discover the latest advances in veterinary internal medicine.
The ACVIM Forum is a showplace for new ideas, products and innovations, featuring strong educational programs and unparalleled networking opportunities. Last year’s silver anniversary celebration played host to a record 3,757 attendees, all of whom recognize the value of continuing education while meeting with colleagues from across the continent, viewing cutting-edge tools of the trade on the exhibit hall floor and attending fascinating speaker sessions that all promise to expand our horizons.
Everyday, our community blazes new trails of discovery in veterinary internal medicine to advance the health and welfare of animals, and people - and what better place to blaze new trails than in San Antonio, Texas, a city that captures the spirit of discovery and whose history exemplifies the pioneering spirit like no other? From the Alamo, where you’ll find relics and mementos from the early 1700s, to the Riverwalk with its three miles of shops, restaurants and nightclubs, San Antonio retains its sense of history and tradition while welcoming cosmopolitan progress. The city has always been considered both a crossroads and a meeting place where the sounds and flavors of Native Americans, Old Mexico, the Wild West and the Deep South mingle and merge – and attracts 20 million visitors a year!
From June 4-7, 2008, San Antonio is the place to be. We hope you’ll join your colleagues from across North America as we gather to examine the latest discoveries in internal medicine and to look forward to new horizons of exploration in animal care. In San Antonio you will re-discover that pioneering spirit that we’ve never lost – and never will.
