The Interventional Cardiology Course is a one-day intensive course that aims to provide the audience a thorough review of catheter-based techniques for heart disease in animals. The course is composed of a morning lecture series and an afternoon hands-on laboratory using cadavers and 3-D printed models of canine hearts.  It will include topics such as equipment and vascular access in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, cardiac pacing, patent ductus arteriosus occlusion and balloon dilation therapies. This course is appropriate for cardiologists-in-training or practitioners who wish to improve their understanding of and technical abilities in cardiac catheterization.
