Registration Category Criteria


Member rates are a benefit of ACVIM membership. To qualify, you must be a member at the time of registration.

One and two day registrations are only eligible to attend education sessions, social events, and the Solutions Center on day(s) purchased.

To qualify for the Retired rate, you must be a veterinary professional who is retired from their primary position within the industry.

To qualify for the Resident/Intern/1st Year Graduate rate, you must be a full time resident or intern or have just graduated within the past 12 months.

To qualify for the student rate, you must be a full-time veterinary or technician student. 

*Students, those enrolled in a Graduate program, and residents, interns and recent graduates must submit proof of eligibility at time of registration. This proof of eligibility documentation must be in the form of a copy of your student ID, copy of your current schedule, a letter from your institution, or a diploma with year of graduation listed. Without proper documentation, ACVIM may adjust registration fees accordingly.


Spouse / Significant Other registration category is valid for spouses and significant others of full conference registrations ONLY. Registration includes admission to the Solutions Center, Wine and Cheese Happy Hour, and Keynote Session. Continuing education credit is not available for this registration fee category. 

This registration has a limit of 1 and is not intended for colleagues or co-workers.


Are you only interested in making connections inside the Solutions Center (Exhibit Hall)? ACVIM offers a one-day pass to access the Solutions Center on one day of your choosing. Passes can only be purchased on site at the registration desk at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Solutions Center passes are not intended to be used for suitcasing and those violating this policy will be asked to leave with no refund. Non-exhibiting companies are not allowed to distribute materials or samples or promote their company in any way to attendees or exhibitors throughout the entire conference area.

Registration Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted via email to the ACVIM at

Cancellations received on or before 11:59pm MST on April 18, 2019, are entitled to the following refund:
     •  For registration fees greater than $100, a refund of all paid registration fees, less a $100 cancellation fee.
     •  For registration fees $100 or less, a refund of all paid registrations fees, less a $25 cancellation fee.

CE Credits

Veterinarian: UP TO 35 CE Hours (Wed-Sat) / UP TO 27 (Thurs-Sat)
Technician: UP TO 32.5 CE Hours

Texas-Licensed Veterinarians

The 2019 ACVIM Forum content has been created to meet the requirements of the Texas Veterinary Licensing Act mandated by the 79th Legislature and adopted by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners relating to verifying continuing education credit for Texas-licensed veterinarians.

New York-Licensed Veterinarians and Technicians

The 2019 ACVIM Forum content has been created to meet the requirements for continuing education from the New York State Board of Veterinary Medicine.


This program is approved by the AAVSB RACE.


ACVIM intends to take photographs and video of this event for use in ACVIM news and promotional material, in print, electronic and other media, including the website. By participating in this event, you grant ACVIM the right to use any image, photograph, voice or likeness, without limitation, in its promotional materials and publicity efforts without compensation. All media become the property of ACVIM. Media may be displayed, distributed or used by ACVIM for any purpose.

ACVIM Code of Conduct

The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Material or language that ridicules, belittles, or degrades an individual or group is unacceptable. Human sexual language and imagery, whether direct or implied, is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, on-site or off-site social events, Facebook and other online media.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, ACVIM may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event without a refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, contact an event organizer immediately.

Explore the latest research, best practices and strategies in veterinary specialty medicine at the 2019 ACVIM Forum, home of AIMVT’s annual meeting. Especially for technicians, the ACVIM Forum offers three days of education, including sessions dedicated to your specific needs. In addition, dedicated luncheons and workshops will offer opportunities for networking and learning.

Whether you are highly experienced or a newcomer to veterinary medicine, you'll have opportunities to communicate with internationally-known leaders in the field and learn about the most informative and educational advances in veterinary care through sessions specifically targeting veterinary technicians.

Child Care

Child care services will not be provided through the ACVIM at the Forum this year, however you can reference or check with your Phoenix hotel concierge for references on individual child care.
