Registration Category Criteria

REGISTRATION CATEGORY CRITERIA

Member rates are a benefit of ACVIM membership. To qualify, you must be a member at the time of registration.

One and two day registrations are only eligible to attend education sessions, social events, and the Solutions Center on the day(s) purchased.

To qualify for the Retired rate, you must be a veterinary professional who is retired from their primary position within the industry.

*Students, those enrolled in a Graduate program, and residents, interns and 1st year graduates must submit proof of eligibility at time of registration. This proof of eligibility documentation must be in the form of a copy of your student ID, copy of your current schedule, a letter from your institution, or a diploma with year of graduation listed. Without proper documentation, ACVIM may adjust registration fees accordingly.


SPOUSE / SIGNIFICANT OTHER REGISTRATIONS
Spouse / Significant Other registration category is valid for spouses and significant others of full conference registrations ONLY. Registration includes admission to the Solutions Center, Wine and Cheese Happy Hour, and Keynote Session. Continuing education credit is not available for this registration fee category. 

This registration has a limit of 1 and is not intended for colleagues or co-workers.


SOLUTIONS CENTER  PASS
Are you only interested in making connections inside the Solutions Center? ACVIM offers a one-day pass to access the Solutions Center on one day of your choosing. Passes can only be purchased on site at the registration desk at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Solutions Center passes are not intended to be used for suitcasing and those violating this policy will be asked to leave with no refund. Non-exhibiting companies are not allowed to distribute materials or samples or promote their company in any way to attendees or exhibitors throughout the entire conference area.


Registration Cancellation Policy

REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be submitted via email to the ACVIM at Forum@ACVIM.org

Cancellations received on or before 11:59pm MST on April 23, 2020, are entitled to the following refund:
     •  For registration fees greater than $100, a refund of all paid registration fees, less a $100 cancellation fee.
     •  For registration fees $100 or less, a refund of all paid registrations fees, less a $25 cancellation fee. 

NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS will be issued after 11:59pm MST on April 23, 2020, for questions regarding the cancellation policy, please contact Forum@ACVIM.org.

CE Credits

Veterinarian: UP TO 31.5 CE Hours (Wed-Sat) / UP TO 24 (Thurs-Sat)
Technician: UP TO 32 CE Hours

Texas-Licensed Veterinarians

The 2020 ACVIM Forum content has been created to meet the requirements of the Texas Veterinary Licensing Act mandated by the 79th Legislature and adopted by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners relating to verifying continuing education credit for Texas-licensed veterinarians.



New York-Licensed Veterinarians and Technicians

The 2020 ACVIM Forum content has been created to meet the requirements for continuing education from the New York State Board of Veterinary Medicine.

ACVIM Code of Conduct

The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof).  The ACVIM expects professional conduct from all participants at all times during its meetings and events and we do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Material, language and/or actions that ridicules, belittles, or degrades an individual or group is unacceptable. Human sexual language and imagery, whether direct or implied, is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, on-site or off-site social events, Facebook and other online media.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the ACVIM may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event without a refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, contact an event organizer immediately.

As part of registration for any ACVIM meeting, all participants agree to conduct themselves in a professional manner and abide by this ACVIM Code of Conduct.

Technicians

Explore the latest research, best practices and strategies in veterinary specialty medicine at the 2020 ACVIM Forum, home of AIMVT’s annual meeting. Especially for technicians, the ACVIM Forum offers three days of education, including sessions dedicated to your specific needs. In addition, dedicated luncheons and workshops will offer opportunities for networking and learning.


Whether you are highly experienced or a newcomer to veterinary medicine, you'll have opportunities to communicate with internationally-known leaders in the field and learn about the most informative and educational advances in veterinary care through sessions specifically targeting veterinary technicians.
