Yes, due to the success of last year’s hybrid format, a virtual registration option will be available for the 2023 ACVIM Forum that will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania June 15-17, 2023.

We hope to see you at the 2023 ACVIM Forum, however you choose to participate.

• In Person: Live educational sessions delivered to an in-person audience in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
• On demand: Virtual sessions will complement the in-person, live sessions and be available to both audiences. On-demand sessions will focus on session topics that are successfully delivered in a virtual environment and are primarily lecture-based. All on-demand offerings will be available through the end of October 2023.
• Livestreaming from Philadelphia: A limited number of in-person, live sessions will be livestreamed for the virtual audience June 15-17, 2023.
• Live Virtual Day: Following the in-person program, the interactive event will be held June 28, 2023, including live session Q&As and available to all conference participants.

Registration for the 2023 ACVIM Forum will open in late January.

The 2023 ACVIM Forum will be a blend of in-person, live-streamed and on-demand sessions June 15-17, 2023 with the on-demand content available through October 2023. The Specialty Symposium will take place June 14, 2023 and is available exclusively to ACVIM member Diplomates and Candidates. Following the in-person the Live Virtual Day will be held June 28, 2023, including live session Q&As and available to all conference participants.

Yes! We are excited to recognize the accomplishments of our newly boarded Diplomates. The ACVIM will recognizing new Diplomates that became Board-certified in 2022-2023 during the New Diplomate Certificate Ceremony. More details will be provided as they become available. Please reach out to Membership@ACVIM.org if you have any additional questions. 

At present time, there are no mask, vaccination or testing requirements in place to participate in the ACVIM Forum, however masks are recommended. Safety protocols are subject to change at any time and the ACVIM may require attendees to wear masks to participate in the conference based on transmission levels at the time of the event. By registering for the ACVIM Forum, you understand and agree to comply with all the protocols adopted by the ACVIM. Additional information regarding the specific health and safety measures, and any necessary consents by you, will continue to be communicated to participants prior to the first day of the ACVIM Forum.

Yes, in-person attendees will also get access to the virtual offerings. With two ways to attend, the 2023 ACVIM Forum is created for a unique attendee experience. 

A small number of sessions will be livestreamed into the virtual event platform for three days (June 15-17, 2023) while the on-demand content, including content from the interactive event, will be available through October, 2023. 

You will see high-caliber sessions focused on the needs of specialists at the ACVIM Forum. With RACE-approved CE and new research available, we will bring you a wide variety of specialty program and technician tracks. Additionally, the Solutions Center will offer the latest industry products and services. 

Yes, the Specialty Symposium Day will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Please note that the Specialty Symposium is limited to ACVIM member Diplomates and Candidates only.  

Yes, there will be limited sessions that are livestreamed from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to virtual attendees within the online conference platform. In addition, the Live Virtual Day with speaker Q&As will be held June 28, 2023 and available online to all conference registrants. 

No. Specialty business meetings will be conducted virtually later in the summer to increase member attendance.

Yes. We will work closely with our official, approved Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to offer time during the live, in-person program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Yes. You can look forward to reconnecting with your colleagues during dedicated networking during the in-person offerings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. More information to come! 

No, nearly all ACVIM committees have rescheduled their business meetings to take place outside of the ACVIM Forum dates. Committee leaders will work with their staff liaisons to meet at another time, to ensure committees can continue to effectively meet their objectives.

The ACVIM Forum team is once again working with Cadmium as the conference platform and mobile app for the 2023 ACVIM Forum. This platform will optimize our program in a hybrid environment. Once registered, all registrants will receive communications with system requirements to access the hybrid conference platform and start building personal schedules.

All attendees will receive an emailed registration confirmation with a registration ID number included. Go directly to the 2023 ACVIM Forum online conference platform and log in using your registration email and ID number. To request your registration ID number, contact Forum@ACVIM.org. The link to the conference platform is also available in your registration confirmation email.

Yes, speakers have been notified of their session approval. In addition, the Call for Research Abstracts closes on January 25, 2023, and presenters will be notified in March 2023.

If you must change your status from your current commitment, please let us know ASAP via email (Forum@ACVIM.org).

Yes, the Solutions Center is located in Hall A of the Philadelphia Convention Center and is a hub of activity during the conference on Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17. All cancellations must be submitted via email to the ACVIM at Forum@ACVIM.org. Cancellations received on or before 11:59 pm MT on May 12, 2023, are eligible to receive a refund of all paid registration fees as follows:

• Registration fees under $100 - full refund less a $25 cancellation fee.
• Registration fees over $100 - full refund less a $100 cancellation fee.

Cancellations received after 11:59 pm MT on May 12, 2023, are eligible for the following:

• In-person registration fees will be transferred to a virtual registration and participants will receive a refund of the price difference between in-person and virtual participation.
• NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS for virtual participation will be issued.

In the unfortunate event of a cancellation, all attendees registered for the in-person event will be given one week to decide between canceling their conference registration and receiving a full refund or transferring to the ACVIM Forum virtual experience, scheduled to take place during the same time. The ACVIM will refund the registration fees in full or the difference between the in-person and online event fees, depending on their decision. After one week all registrations will automatically convert to a virtual registration and all virtual terms and conditions will apply. 

If the ACVIM cancels the in-person event either before or during the live conference dates, attendees will be automatically shifted to the online event and receive a refund for the difference between the in-person and online event fees. The ACVIM is not able to reimburse or refund for hotel, transportation, and other expenses associated with the conference. Attendees will need to negotiate these refunds individually with their specific airline and hotel or with their trip insurance provider. Most official hotels within the ACVIM room block offer full cancellation refunds if notified more than 72 hours in advance.  

In the event that the ACVIM cancels the ACVIM Forum, the ACVIM will offer the opportunity for participating companies to receive a refund, apply those funds to the 2024 ACVIM Forum, or repurpose those funds into additional opportunities. This does not apply to any expenses (travel, hotel, booth build-out, etc.) that a company may have incurred outside the specific participation that was purchased from the ACVIM.

The 2023 ACVIM Forum offers a combination of in-person, live virtual sessions and asynchronous, on-demand recordings. Registered attendees will be eligible for two types of RACE CE credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE approval: 1) Live, Interactive and 2) Anytime, Non-Interactive distance continuing education credits.

Claiming session CE credits is or are in accordance with AAVSB RACE-approval standards, however participants should be aware that some state boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. Please contact your state board directly with any questions.

Individuals are only able to claim credit for a session once, even if available both in the live program and on-demand. Participants will be responsible for ensuring they do not claim credit twice for the same session.

The AAVSB’s Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) program develops and applies uniform standards for veterinary medicine continuing education. The AAVSB is utilizing Racetrack® to optimize the CE tracking experience for both CE providers and the AAVSB's Member Boards.  This system allows veterinary professionals the chance to record all continuing education (CE) coursework in a single centralized database and easily communicates your CE to your credentialing agencies while also allowing those authorized agencies to retrieve your CE. We do encourage all attendees of any RACE program to create a free RACEtrack account to track their CE here.
