Since its inception in 1973, the ACVIM has continued to be a trusted leader in veterinary education, discovery, and excellence. Starting out with just over 40 Diplomates, the organization now boasts a membership of over 3,800 in North America and beyond. Over the decades, the ACVIM's commitment to advancing the field of veterinary medicine has remained unwavering. Through continuous innovation, education, and fostering a community of dedicated members, the ACVIM has played a pivotal role in advancing specialty veterinary medicine.
