Recognize an outstanding Diplomate
Recognition award nominations are made by completing an online nomination application, including the nominee’s Curriculum Vitae, a nomination letter, record of service to the ACVIM, and at least three (3) supporting letters from colleagues. Nominations are due December 31 annually.
Professional Excellence
Presented in recognition of outstanding achievements and dedicated service to the veterinary profession.
Service Award
Recognizes outstanding and dedicated service by a Diplomate as a College volunteer.
Early Career Award for Outstanding Service
Awarded to a Diplomate exemplifying exceptional service in the College and/or their Specialty in a volunteer capacity within the first 15 years following Board-certification.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Presented to the most prominent leaders and those who have made significant contributions in one of the six ACVIM specialties.
Certificate of Clinical Excellence
Recognizes students who demonstrate sincere interest and outstanding didactic and clinical expertise in veterinary internal medicine.
Honorary Membership
Granted to individuals whose contributions to veterinary internal medicine warrant special recognition by the College for a life’s work in one of the ACVIM’s six specialties.
