After conducting an assessment of the ACVIM in relation to DEI, a task force for ACVIM Diplomates and staff worked together to create a three-year strategic plan around our DEI initiatives.
The ACVIM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee exists to advocate for systemic change, amplify underrepresented voices, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across the College. We serve by increasing understanding and fostering open conversations about DEI, ensuring this work translates into meaningful action and representation within ACVIM’s leadership and governance. Our primary focus is on supporting the ACVIM community, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and equitable community that empowers all to thrive.
To embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within our organizational culture, empowering all individuals in the ACVIM community and beyond to reach their full potential and feel a true sense of belonging.
