ACVIM DEI Committee Mission, Vision, and Value Statements

Mission

The ACVIM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee exists to advocate for systemic change, amplify underrepresented voices, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across the College. We serve by increasing understanding and fostering open conversations about DEI, ensuring this work translates into meaningful action and representation within ACVIM’s leadership and governance. Our primary focus is on supporting the ACVIM community, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and equitable community that empowers all to thrive.

Vision

To embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within our organizational culture, empowering all individuals in the ACVIM community and beyond to reach their full potential and feel a true sense of belonging.

Values

The ACVIM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is guided by four core values that reflect our dedication to creating a more inclusive and equitable profession:
