The ACVIM Certificate of Clinical Excellence is awarded annually to fourth year veterinary students from AVMA-affiliated institutions, with up to three students awarded per institution.
The award recognizes students who demonstrate sincere interest in internal medicine and outstanding didactic and clinical expertise in internal medicine. Institutions are contacted annually by the ACVIM and are asked to submit their selections by the end of the second quarter. Each institution hosts an award ceremony and students are recognized and presented with their award certificate at that time.
